It is with much disappointment that the Strathmore Highland Games Committee has taken the decision to cancel this year’s Strathmore Highland Games that were due to take place on 13th June 2021 at Glamis Castle.
This is a decision that was not taken lightly. We truly hoped when we cancelled last year’s event that it would be a one-off situation and we’d be ready to showcase the best of Games talent this year in a welcoming and safe manner. Having studied the most recent Scottish Government guidelines for large events, we are in no doubt that this is the only responsible action we can take.
We know this decision will impact on many, including our competitors and our trade stall holders. We truly hope to be ready in June 2022 to come together to get back to doing what we do best hosting a bigger, better and stronger Highland Games. In the meantime, stay healthy, stay safe and look after your families and communities.
