OBAN ALL SET FOR BIG DAY

THE ARGYLLSHIRE GATHERING [OBAN] Thursday 27th August.

All roads lead to Oban on Thursday for the ever-popular Argyllshire Gathering in the towns Mossfield Park.

The games are famous for their 2 day piping programme, for many however the track and field programme is the highlight, which in the past has attracted many of Scotland's top athletes both male and female.

The heavy events always attract a quality field with three SHGA titles up for grabs, the 16lb and 22lb hammers and 56lb for Distance.

All events can be entered on the day, first track event is the 3200 metres at 11pm.
