Murray takes SHGA 800 metres title at Lochcarron.

Finlay Murray took the SHGA British 800 metres title at the Lochcarron Highland Games on Saturday. This is the first time the event has been staged within the groundsof the Attadale Estate on the bamks of Loch Carron.

Murray who runs for East Sutherland AC recently set an 800 metres PB of 1m 53s at the Gothenburg Youth Games in Sweden and is currently ranked at number 3 in the Scottish Under-20 standings. Still awaiting confirmation of his time on Saturday.

Tony Daffurn, Kilbarchan was another athlete in record breaking form at Lochcarron with new ground records in both the High Jump and Long Jump, Tony also won the Triple Jump, 100 metres and 200 metres .
