CANCELLATION OF CUPAR HIGHLAND GAMES 2021-
It is with considerable regret that the Committee of Cupar Highland Games wishes to announce that the Games of 2021, due to take place in June, are now cancelled.
The decision has been taken in light of the current Covid-19 situation and the strong likelihood that some form of limitations on gatherings may well extend into the Summer period. A further factor in our consideration is that travel and tourism is unlikely to return to anywhere near to normal conditions and our Games has traditionally been very well supported by our friends from overseas.
To our athletes and performers - our sincere regrets. We know how much you value the opportunity to showcase your talents - and we know just how much your participation brings pleasure to all who visit us.
And to the general public of Cupar and the area: I’m afraid that yet another event is lost from the social calendar for this year and it is made all the more disappointing in our eyes as this is the second year where we have had to take such a decision.
To all - please stay safe and well; hopefully, we will see you all in 2022.
Best Wishes
