Games athletes set to receive awards.
Athletes and cyclists who excelled on the Highand Games circuit during the summer will be in Glenrothes this weekend when the the Scottish Highland Games Association in conjunction with the Fife Highland Games Association stage their annual Awards dinner.
The event which will be held in the Gilvenbank Hotel on Saturday evening will see the Athlete of the Year trophy along with the many other awards and leagues prizes awarded.
A good turn out is anticipated with competitors from the Highlands to the Borders and many places in between set to attend. Almost all the main award winners and those who have won league prizes set to be in attendance. League prizes go down to 4 places.
Running, cycling, heavy events and tug owar will all be represented.
Guest speaker for the evening will be Scottish Lib Dem leader and Highland games competitor Willie Rennie.
