BILL RUZZAK, INVERKEITHING HIGHLAND GAMES

 

BILL RUZZAK – BORN 1st December1933 - DIED 12th September 2009
 
Bill was born and brought up in Kent and moved to Inverkeithing in 1969 with his wife Kay and six children. He had a long career working for Marconi in Donibristle, retiring in November 1998.
 
Bill is survived by his wife, Kay and his three sons and two daughters, Micheal Peter Susan Rodney Michelle.
 
Bill was a founder member, and stalwart, of the current Inverkeithing Highland Games committee, which resurrected The Games in 1972. He is an ex chairman of The Games and was serving as Secretary at the time of his passing. Bill was also Chairman of the Fife Games committee and a strong supporter of close co-operation between the different Games within the Fife region.
 
Bill was also a long serving member of the Dunfermline Carnegie Hockey club. He held various positions within the club and was actively playing, umpiring and coaching hockey each week until he was in his late 60s. Where he then took up umpiring full time 
 
Bill’s constant enthusiasm and dedication will be missed by all of those involved in the organisation of Highland Games.
 
Bill's funeral arrangements are as follows;

Mass in St Peter in Chains church, Inverkeithing, at 10am on Monday 21st September, followed by burial at Hillend Cemetery at 11:15am.
