Below is the link to the handicaps for the 148th New Year [110m] Sprint.
The heats will be run at Meadowmill Sports Arena along with all supporting events on Friday 30th December with the cross-ties and final at Musselburgh Racecourse on New Years Day in conjunction with the traditional National Hunt race meeting.
The final will be one of the first events covered by ITV Racing who take over from Channel 4 on New Years Day.
Entries for the 'big sprint' are slightly down on last year, there is a trend now however where athletes are choosing to run either the 110m or the 90m and many have entered the latter but not the 110m.
5 former winners are among the entries and almost a quarter of the field is made up of female athletes which is good to see following last years race which produced the first ever female winner.
Overall there is an increase of entries in all other events, open 800 and 1600 and all youth races of which handicaps will be released at a later date.
The draw for the heats of the 148th New Year Sprint will be held at Musselburgh Racecourse onThursday 1st December at 11.30am. Backmarkers will be seeded in the heats. ALL WELCOME.
